Odos, the decentralized exchange aggregator, said it will permanently shut down all services on July 30, 2026, bringing its four-year operating run to an end after routing more than $104 billion in trades. The team said the app will switch to read-only mode on July 27. Because Odos is non-custodial, user assets remain onchain, though users who created wallets through social or email logins must transfer funds or export private keys before the cutoff. The company did not give a reason for the shutdown. It has already disabled new signups, wallet creation, and limit orders, while swaps will continue until the app becomes read-only. Odos also said the ODOS token remains unaffected onchain and that the Odos DAO operates separately from the company, while warning that any post-shutdown token migration, claim, or airdrop offers should be treated as scams. The closure follows a sharp decline in platform volume from its December 2024 peak and comes less than two years after the company closed a Series A round backed by firms including Uniswap, CE Innovation Capital, Orbs, Mantle, and PAKA.

Odos will permanently shut down all services on July 30, 2026, ending a four-year run in which the DEX aggregator routed more than $104 billion in trades, the company behind the platform said Thursday.

In a post on X, the team wrote, "To the Odos community: after much consideration, the operating company behind Odos is winding down its operations." The app will move to read-only mode on July 27, and all Odos services will shut down permanently on July 30, 2026. The team added that Odos is non-custodial, meaning user assets remain owned by users and stay onchain.

Shutdown timeline and user actions

The team did not provide a reason for the closure. With the announcement, Odos disabled new signups, wallet creation, and limit orders. Swaps will keep working until the app switches to read-only on July 27.

Users who created wallets through social or email logins must transfer assets or export their private keys before the deadline. For everyone else, funds remain onchain under their own control.

ODOS token unchanged onchain, DAO remains separate

According to the team, the ODOS token is unaffected onchain. The token launched in December 2024 with an airdrop to 494,278 addresses. The team also said the Odos DAO operates separately from the company.

It warned users that any token migration, claim, or airdrop offers circulating after the shutdown are scams.

CoinGecko data cited in the report shows ODOS trading at $0.001, down 98% from its all-time high set the day after launch, with a market capitalization of $1.6 million. The shutdown announcement had little impact on price, with the token down 1.4% over the past 24 hours.

Volume fell from a top-five peak to No. 24

Odos was built by Semiotic Labs, a core developer of The Graph. The project launched in 2022 around a proprietary Smart Order Routing algorithm designed to search non-linear swap paths across roughly 900 liquidity sources on about 15 EVM chains. It was also the first aggregator to support multi-token inputs in a single transaction.

At its peak in December 2024, Odos processed $7.85 billion in monthly volume, placing it among the top five aggregators behind Jupiter, 1inch, and CoW Swap, according to DefiLlama. Volume then fell in nearly every subsequent month: $2.27 billion last December, $553 million in May, $403 million in June, and $170 million so far in July. That left Odos ranked No. 24 by daily volume.

Closure follows 2024 Series A and a broader wave of exits

The shutdown comes after Odos closed a Series A round in August 2024 backed by Uniswap, CE Innovation Capital, Orbs, Mantle, and PAKA. The company did not disclose the amount raised.

Odos is one of several crypto product shutdowns announced in July. BitMEX said this week it will close by Sept. 23, while portfolio tracker Zapper and Ctrl Wallet are both set to shut down on Aug. 3.

For aggregators, the pressure has grown as wallet-native swap products from Binance Wallet and OKX, along with solver-based systems such as CoW and LiquidMesh, capture order flow that standalone routers once fought over.
