OKX founder and CEO Star said Circle, Ripple and SC Ventures have joined the company’s investor roster, framing the move as a strategic financing round rather than a capital raise driven by funding needs. In his post, Star said OKX brought in partners that share a long-term vision with the exchange in stablecoins, payments, institutional markets and next-generation financial infrastructure. The statement follows an earlier ChainCatcher report citing Bloomberg, which said OKX completed a new financing round at a $25 billion valuation. Existing partners and hedge fund Qube Research & Technologies were reported to have participated. OKX said Circle Internet Group, Ripple and SC Ventures, the investment arm of Standard Chartered, were involved in the round. The company did not disclose the amount raised. It said the latest round extends a financing completed in March this year, when Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, invested about $200 million in OKX at the same $25 billion valuation.
