OKX Web3 shared new product updates at the OKX NOW summit in Singapore on Oct. 6, outlining progress across OKX Wallet, its DEX trading terminal and DeFi offerings. The team said X Layer, the base network for the OKX Web3 ecosystem, has continued to expand, with DeFi total value locked rising about 11-fold this year and reaching a record high in September. According to the presentation, ExchangeOS has already packaged core exchange functions — including matching, risk control, margin and settlement — into modular components. OKX Web3 said those capabilities will later be opened to developers through XIP-Exchange OS, an X Layer improvement proposal designed to let builders connect step by step to shared trading infrastructure and liquidity. The stated goal is to help developers launch on-chain markets more quickly. The team also said on-chain spot and perpetual markets built on ExchangeOS are set to enter public testing soon. The update points to a broader push by OKX Web3 to turn internal trading system components into reusable infrastructure within the X Layer ecosystem.

ExchangeOS to be opened through an X Layer improvement proposal

According to the team, ExchangeOS has packaged matching, risk control, margin and settlement functions into modular components. Through XIP-Exchange OS, an X Layer improvement proposal, developers will be able to connect in stages to shared trading infrastructure and liquidity, allowing them to build on-chain markets more quickly.

Public test for on-chain spot and perpetual markets is approaching

OKX Web3 also said on-chain spot and perpetual markets based on ExchangeOS will enter public testing soon.
