The team said X Layer, the base network for the OKX Web3 ecosystem, has continued to expand, with DeFi total value locked rising about 11-fold this year and reaching an all-time high in September. It also said ExchangeOS has already packaged core exchange functions, including matching, risk controls, margin, and settlement, into modular components. Through the proposed XIP-Exchange OS upgrade for X Layer, developers will be able to connect gradually to shared trading infrastructure and liquidity, which the company says should help them launch on-chain markets faster. Spot and perpetual on-chain markets built on ExchangeOS are set to enter public testing soon.

ExchangeOS to be opened to developers through XIP
According to the team, ExchangeOS has packaged functions such as matching, risk management, margin, and settlement into modular components. Through XIP-Exchange OS, an improvement proposal for X Layer, developers will be able to gradually plug into shared trading infrastructure and liquidity and build on-chain markets more quickly.
On-chain spot and perpetual markets based on ExchangeOS are set to begin public testing soon.
