OKX Web3 used the OKX NOW Summit in Singapore to outline the latest progress across its product suite, including OKX Wallet, its DEX trading terminal and DeFi offerings. The team said X Layer, the base network underpinning the OKX Web3 ecosystem, has continued to expand, with DeFi total value locked rising by about 11x this year and reaching an all-time high in September. It also detailed how ExchangeOS has packaged core exchange functions such as matching, risk control, margin and settlement into modular components. Through the proposed XIP-Exchange OS upgrade on X Layer, developers will be able to connect step by step to shared trading infrastructure and liquidity, which OKX says should speed up the creation of onchain markets. The team added that spot and perpetual markets built on ExchangeOS are set to enter public testing soon.
