OpenAI is bringing its AI models and Codex coding tool to Google Cloud, expanding its reach across customers of the three major U.S. cloud providers.
OpenAI and Google strike cloud deal
According to AXIOS, the arrangement gives OpenAI another route to enterprise customers without requiring those companies to form a separate direct relationship with the maker of ChatGPT.
For Google, the agreement means Google Cloud can sell a rival’s AI models alongside its own Gemini products, potentially capturing business that might otherwise have gone to other cloud providers.
Under the deal announced Wednesday, Google Cloud customers will be able to buy OpenAI’s frontier models through Google’s Model Garden and Marketplace, including through existing cloud spending commitments. The agreement also adds OpenAI models to Google’s Antigravity development environment and Gemini Agent. Those features are expected to be fully available in the coming weeks.

OCC releases final GENIUS Act implementation rule
According to The Block, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has issued the final implementation rule for the GENIUS Act, becoming the first U.S. regulator to complete rulemaking tied to the stablecoin law. The rule will take effect on Jan. 18, 2027.
The final rule creates a supervisory framework for permitted stablecoin issuers. It covers pathways for banks and nonbanks to conduct payment stablecoin business, and also sets standards for foreign stablecoin issuers and asset custody. The GENIUS Act requires stablecoins to be fully backed by U.S. dollars or similarly liquid assets and to undergo annual audits.
The final version also changes how the proposal handles stablecoin rewards. The OCC still bars issuers from paying interest directly to stablecoin holders, but it removed an earlier presumption that certain commercial relationships between issuers and third parties could automatically be treated as violations. Those cases will now be reviewed individually. Regulators said the OCC can still take enforcement action if it finds arrangements designed to clearly evade statutory prohibitions.
Zelensky comments on a possible peace deal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview that Ukraine could agree to a peace deal while retaining control of at least 75% of its territory.
Asked whether he would accept a settlement that freezes the situation as it stands, with Ukraine still holding 75% or more of its land, Zelensky answered yes and said, “Now we must freeze [the front line]. This is a practical way to end this war,” according to China Central Television.
Dogecoin Labs launches with foundation backing
According to CoinDesk, Dogecoin Labs has been formed with support from the Dogecoin Foundation, combining the MyDoge wallet, the DogeOS app platform and the Such App payments product under one independent organization. Jordan Jefferson will serve as CEO.
The company will focus on consumer apps, payments, commerce, DeFi and gaming, while the foundation will continue to handle ecosystem maintenance and open-source development. Under the plan, developers will build apps on DogeOS, DOGE holders will discover and use them through MyDoge, and merchants will accept payments through Such App.
The beta version of Such App already supports invoicing and in-person QR code payments, though its connection with DogeOS is still in the planning stage. MyDoge said it has more than 500,000 users. DogeOS opened its public testnet on Sept. 30, allowing developers to use test DOGE to build Ethereum-like lending, trading and gaming applications. A secure connection between DogeOS and the Dogecoin mainnet has not yet been completed, and related rule changes remain in draft form.

The High Court has held another hearing, and the judge approved an appeal against the Oct. 12 ruling on applicable law. Lawyers for the parties also discussed litigation costs tied to the earlier dispute over governing law, whether the roughly 16,000 individual applicants would continue their claims, and how they could withdraw.
