Nasdaq-listed OpenWorld, Inc. (OPNW) said on Oct. 1 in Las Vegas that it plans to acquire Blocksight Holdings Co., a company building an AI agent platform for bringing real-world assets on-chain and providing ongoing investor reporting. The proposed deal is not final. OpenWorld said it still requires final board approval and execution of definitive documents, and added that there is no assurance the documents will be signed or that the transaction will close. According to the announcement, Blocksight’s agents handle trade construction, asset data verification, investor onboarding, daily reporting, and ongoing services, while key decisions remain subject to human approval. OpenWorld said the acquisition is intended to support OpenWorld Enterprise, a platform still under development that would allow institutions to access, verify, and hold tokenized real-world asset opportunities. If the transaction closes, Blocksight co-founders Patrick Kim and Peter Hong are expected to join OpenWorld to help with technology integration.

Nasdaq-listed OpenWorld, Inc. (ticker: OPNW) said on Oct. 1 in Las Vegas that it plans to acquire Blocksight Holdings Co.

The company said the transaction remains subject to final approval by OpenWorld’s board and the signing of definitive documents. The parties are still finalizing that paperwork, and OpenWorld said there is no assurance the documents will be executed or that the deal will be completed.

Blocksight builds AI agents for on-chain real-world assets

According to the announcement, Blocksight has built an AI agent platform designed to bring real-world assets on-chain and provide ongoing reports to investors.

Those agents cover trade construction, asset data verification, investor onboarding, daily reporting, and ongoing services. The platform can run across multiple blockchains and connect directly to distribution platforms, while key decisions still require human approval.

Deal is meant to support OpenWorld Enterprise

OpenWorld said the proposed acquisition is intended to support OpenWorld Enterprise, which is still in development. Through that platform, institutions would be able to access, verify, and hold tokenized real-world asset opportunities, with OpenWorld potentially acting as a co-sponsor and co-architect.

Two co-founders may join after closing

If the transaction closes, Blocksight co-founders Patrick Kim and Peter Hong are expected to join OpenWorld and assist with technology integration.

OpenWorld co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Matthew Shaw said the proposed acquisition is an important early step for the company as a public company and could strengthen the foundation of its institutional tokenized real-world asset platform.

The announcement was released in connection with the company and VerifyMe, Inc.
