ChainCatcher, citing Jin10, reported that Alibaba’s Qwen assistant has entered deep testing inside Tesla’s in-car system and is expected to be deployed in the vehicle soon. People said to be familiar with the matter told the outlet that Qwen has completed extensive testing in a real Tesla in-car environment.
According to the report, the assistant is able to listen and respond, control vehicle functions, provide navigation, and handle tasks. The same report said Qwen’s eventual role in Tesla’s in-car system could go beyond the scope of a conventional voice assistant.
As of now, neither Alibaba Cloud nor Tesla China has issued a formal response on the matter. The report was attributed to Jin10 and relayed by ChainCatcher in a 7x24 newsflash update.
