Crypto KOL Qwerty said on Sept. 10 that Binance should slow the pace of token listings, arguing that the exchange’s listing scarcity and credibility are being diluted as new Alpha projects appear almost every day. In a Chinese-language post on X, Qwerty said roughly 75% of Alpha projects eventually make it to futures or spot markets, and called on Binance to focus more on the authenticity of projects and their communities.
According to BlockBeats, Qwerty is a leading KOL on the fomo platform and was followed by Binance co-founder He Yi on Sept. 5. The outlet also noted that Qwerty is the second-largest individual whale holder of "Niulai," a token that Binance listed for spot trading yesterday.
The comments came as recent Binance spot listings have underperformed. BlockBeats said both MarsCoin and "Niulai" posted weak performance after listing, with MarsCoin falling by half within four days of its spot debut.
Crypto KOL Qwerty on Sept. 10 called on Binance management to slow the pace of token listings, according to BlockBeats.
In a Chinese-language post on X, Qwerty wrote: "Nowadays, there are almost new Alpha projects launching every day, and about 75% of Alpha projects eventually enter the futures or spot market. As the listing pace gets faster and faster, the scarcity, authenticity and weight that once belonged to a Binance listing are gradually being weakened. I sincerely hope Binance can appropriately slow down the pace of listings, put more attention on the authenticity of projects and communities, and leave opportunities to projects that truly have real culture, real users and strong communities, and that truly deserve Binance’s recognition."
