Rarible puts Solana on its NFT marketplace
Rarible said on Thursday that its NFT marketplace is live on Solana, with the Claynosaurz collection as its first featured drop.
The marketplace now lists Solana as a supported network alongside Ethereum, MegaETH and Base. It also has dedicated Solana Explore, Mint and Gacha pages.
Solana’s verified X account amplified the launch
Solana’s verified X account reposted the news the same morning, saying that Rarible “adds support for Solana NFTs, beginning with @Claynosaurz.”
Rarible said the launch is the result of months of work on Solana, during which the team built, tested and prepared the marketplace without announcing it.
Gacha Station was presented as a preview
The company also framed its earlier Gacha Station release on the network as an intentional preview. In Rarible’s words, the feature “was never just another feature. It was the first glimpse of what was coming.”
That timeline comes from the company’s own launch statement.
More Solana collections are due
Rarible said it spent weeks talking with NFT communities across Solana, and that their feedback helped shape how the marketplace works.
More collections are coming, according to the company. Rarible said it will “continue onboarding more collections from across the Solana ecosystem” over the coming days and weeks, and called the launch “only the foundation.”
A broader push beyond Ethereum
Rarible has spent recent years expanding beyond its Ethereum roots, including the launch of its own network, RARI Chain.
The Solana move puts Rarible on the same network as rival OpenSea, which added Solana support through its acquisition of the Solana marketplace Gem’s counterpart in the ecosystem. Magic Eden has long been the dominant venue for NFT trading on Solana.
