A Reuters survey found that fixed-income strategists expect U.S. Treasury yields to move lower over the next few months, even after the 10-year Treasury yield posted its biggest quarterly rise since 1994. The respondents kept a bearish view on yields despite that sharp move higher in the latest quarter. According to the median forecast in the survey, the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield is expected to fall to 5% by year-end, then edge down to 4.9% in six months and 4.75% in one year. The report points to expectations of a pullback in yields rather than a continuation of the recent surge.

According to a Reuters survey cited by ChainCatcher, fixed-income strategists expect U.S. Treasury yields to decline over the next few months.

That view held even after the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield logged its biggest quarterly increase since 1994. The survey's median forecast showed the 10-year yield at 5% by the end of the year, 4.9% in six months, and 4.75% in one year.
