Ripple has expanded its relationship with Brevan Howard, with Ripple Prime set to provide multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing and financing services to funds managed by the global investment manager. Brevan Howard oversees about $35 billion in assets, and the new arrangement gives it access to Ripple Prime across both traditional and digital asset markets, according to a Tuesday announcement. The agreement extends an existing tie between the two firms: funds affiliated with Brevan Howard took part in Ripple’s $500 million investment round in 2025, a deal that valued Ripple at $40 billion. Brevan Howard chief operating officer Alan McGroarty said the growing links between digital and traditional markets are increasing demand for institutional-grade digital asset infrastructure that can offer investors a smooth experience. The announcement also comes as Ripple continues to build out its prime brokerage business after raising $275 million in August through a senior note offering and after acquiring prime broker Hidden Road for about $1.25 billion in 2025.

Existing relationship deepens

The new arrangement builds on an existing relationship between the two firms. Funds affiliated with Brevan Howard participated in a $500 million investment in Ripple in 2025, which valued the company at $40 billion.

Brevan Howard chief operating officer Alan McGroarty said, “As digital and traditional markets become more interconnected, the need for institutional-quality digital asset infrastructure that enables a seamless experience for investors is only growing.”

Ripple continues prime brokerage push

Brevan Howard serves global clients including sovereign wealth funds, corporate and public pension plans, foundations and endowments.

The agreement comes as Ripple keeps expanding its prime brokerage business. In August, Ripple Prime raised $275 million through a senior note offering to support its expansion into prime brokerage, financing and multi-asset clearing. Ripple launched the business after acquiring prime broker Hidden Road for about $1.25 billion in 2025.
