Ripple Custody has added support for Canton Network, allowing institutional clients to hold and transfer Canton-based assets within the same custody platform, policy engine, and audit trail framework. The update covers Canton Coin (CC) and CIP-56 tokens. Ripple said signing keys remain stored in clients’ own hardware security modules, or HSMs, and key management systems, or KMSs. For now, access is available through API integration only. The change expands the set of assets that institutions can manage through Ripple Custody while keeping key control on the client side. According to Odaily, the new support is aimed at institutions using a unified custody setup for asset holding, transfers, policy controls, and audit tracking.
