According to Techub, Ripple has obtained a preliminary Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) approval from the Luxembourg Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF). The authorization is granted under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation, allowing Ripple to provide services to financial institutions across 30 countries within the European Economic Area (EEA).

Notably, the approval was issued in the form of a 'green light letter,' indicating that Luxembourg regulators have recognized Ripple's compliance framework, though final approval remains subject to certain conditions. Combined with Ripple's existing Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license, the company will achieve full MiCA compliance, thereby enabling its cryptocurrency and stablecoin payment infrastructure to expand further in the European market.

This preliminary approval marks a significant step in Ripple's regulatory compliance journey in Europe. As a unified regulatory framework for crypto assets across the EU, MiCA provides clear rules for service providers to operate across member states. With this CASP preliminary nod, Ripple can more smoothly collaborate with European financial institutions and promote its XRP-based cross-border payment solutions.
