Ripple Prime has widened its institutional derivatives offering through a joint integration with Coinbase Derivatives and Nodal Clear. Clients can now trade the full lineup of Coinbase crypto futures contracts, including nano Bitcoin (BIT), nano Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP, with trading available 24/7 under CFTC oversight.
Full Coinbase futures suite added to Ripple Prime
The expansion gives Ripple Prime users a broader regulated route into crypto derivatives. Alongside traditional crypto and commodity futures, the company said clients can also access U.S. perpetual-style contracts. The setup is designed to give global institutions more precise tools for market exposure and risk management within a supervised trading framework.
Noel Kimmel, President of Ripple Prime, said the company was pleased to work with Nodal Clear and Coinbase as it expands exchange coverage and adds new futures trading opportunities for clients.
Hidden Road integration boosts clearing and prime brokerage
Ripple Prime said the rollout was made possible through Hidden Road Partners CIV US LLC, which it acquired last year and has now fully integrated into the platform. According to the announcement, that acquisition strengthens Ripple Prime’s prime brokerage and clearing capabilities, with more than $3 trillion in clearing by 2025, while helping clients manage risk, margin, and capital more efficiently as they access derivatives markets.
For institutional traders, execution is only one part of the workflow. Clearing, financing, and risk controls matter just as much. By connecting those functions, Ripple Prime is building a service model that mirrors what large banks have long offered in traditional markets.
Institutional demand keeps regulated derivatives in focus
The source article said institutional appetite for digital assets continues to rise across hedge funds, asset managers, and proprietary trading firms. Those firms typically look for regulated venues with dependable liquidity and trading infrastructure. Coinbase Derivatives’ contracts, listed under CFTC supervision, are positioned to meet those due diligence and risk management standards.
Boris Ilyevsky, Head of U.S. Futures Exchange at Coinbase, said demand for regulated crypto futures is still growing and that the collaboration extends deep liquidity, round-the-clock trading, and new contract design to a wider group of market participants inside a CFTC-regulated structure.
Nodal Clear adds the clearing layer to that arrangement. Paul Cusenza, Chairman and CEO, said the firm was pleased to welcome Ripple as a new clearing member. Based on the announcement, Nodal Clear’s infrastructure is intended to support efficient clearing for Ripple clients and broaden their futures trading options.
