Ripple received approval from Luxembourg’s financial regulator, CSSF, on July 6 for a Crypto Asset Service Provider license, giving the company a compliant route to offer digital asset services across 30 countries in the European Economic Area under the EU’s MiCA framework. Ripple said it now holds more than 75 regulatory licenses worldwide.
Luxembourg approval extends Ripple’s EU reach
The authorization places Ripple inside the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regime, which sets a common rulebook for crypto service providers. With the CSSF approval, Ripple can serve financial institutions, corporations, and commercial businesses across the region under a single regulatory structure rather than relying on fragmented country-by-country arrangements.
For Ripple, the development expands its European footprint in a formal way. MiCA gives the company a clearer legal basis for operating across the EEA, turning Luxembourg’s approval into a gateway for broader regional coverage.
XRP donation match targets veteran employment programs
At the same time, Ripple said it would support US veterans through a donation-matching campaign tied to Call of Duty Endowment, a nonprofit focused on helping unemployed military veterans find civilian jobs. According to the organization, it has already placed more than 165,000 veterans into jobs and is aiming to raise that total to 200,000 by 2030.
Ripple said donations could be made in cash, stocks, XRP, or the US dollar-backed stablecoin RLUSD. The company pledged to match contributions in XRP up to $10,000. At the time of reporting, the campaign had raised $814.19, while XRP was trading at about $1.14.
Washington ad push puts regulation message in public view
Ripple also launched a physical advertising campaign at Union Station in Washington, DC, one of the busiest transit hubs in the US. The ads highlighted Ripple’s position in the sector and pushed for clearer crypto asset regulation.
That location placed the company’s message in front of policymakers, business leaders, and large numbers of daily commuters. Crypto analyst SMQKE was cited as one of the first social media users to draw attention to the campaign. Taken together, the charity drive, the Washington visibility push, and the MiCA approval show Ripple moving on public outreach, regulatory engagement, and cross-border compliance in the same week.
