Ripple has signed a multi-year marketing agreement with the University of Florida, extending its college sports strategy with new XRP branding at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium beginning this football season. Florida Athletics said Friday that the XRP logo will also appear across digital properties and event signage in Gainesville. The deal goes beyond sponsorship visibility: Ripple said it will support financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the wider campus community, covering both traditional finance and digital assets, though financial terms were not disclosed. The agreement follows Ripple’s earlier multi-year partnership with the University of Kansas, where XRP branding was placed on Jayhawks basketball jerseys. The latest campus deal arrives as XRP trades around $1.41, according to CoinGecko, with gains over the past 24 hours and 30 days but a sharp decline over the last year. It also comes as spot XRP ETF momentum has slowed, with Sept. 4 flows essentially flat and Decrypt’s tracker showing neutral sentiment despite cumulative net inflows of about $1.6 billion. The sponsorship push coincides with Ripple’s broader effort to build mainstream visibility alongside its payments, custody, treasury, and RLUSD stablecoin businesses.

Ripple has signed a multi-year marketing deal with the University of Florida, bringing XRP branding to Ben Hill Griffin Stadium starting this football season.

Florida Athletics announced the agreement on Friday, saying XRP branding will appear on the field, across digital properties, and on event signage in Gainesville. Beyond the marketing component, Ripple also committed to supporting financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and the broader campus community, covering both traditional finance and digital assets. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Florida Athletics frames the partnership around innovation

University of Florida Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin said in a statement: “Florida has a long history of embracing innovation and technology to enhance the experience of our fans and advance our programs. Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we’re excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation.”

Another college sports deal for Ripple

The Florida agreement is Ripple’s latest move in college athletics. Earlier this year, the company signed a separate multi-year deal to put the XRP logo on the University of Kansas Jayhawks’ basketball jerseys, an uncommon placement for a crypto brand within major college sports programs.

XRP price and ETF flow backdrop

The sponsorship expansion comes while XRP’s market performance has been relatively steady. According to CoinGecko, the token traded at about $1.41 on Friday, up 0.6% over 24 hours. It was also up about 34.9% over the past 30 days, while remaining down roughly 49.8% over the past year.

Demand for spot XRP ETFs, described as a recent tailwind in the report, has cooled. Flows were essentially flat on Sept. 4, and Decrypt previously reported that the funds had recently ended an inflow streak. Decrypt’s XRP ETF tracker now shows sentiment as neutral, although cumulative net inflows still stand at about $1.6 billion.

Ripple pushes for broader mainstream visibility

The sponsorships arrive as Ripple continues to expand its mainstream presence. The report said the company has spent years building its payments, custody, and treasury business, and recently launched its RLUSD stablecoin.
