RootData’s stock derivatives exchange ranking, as of July 23, placed Binance first, followed by Bybit and Bitget. The ranking evaluates exchanges that support stock derivatives trading across a set of metrics including trading volume, open interest, spreads, market depth, trading costs and data accessibility. Binance led the list with a score of 92, offering 143 contracts, open interest of about $2.713 billion, 24-hour volume of roughly $17.685 billion and a funding rate of +0.0003%. Bybit ranked second with a score of 91.3. It supports 131 contracts, had open interest of about $95.9587 million, 24-hour volume of around $920 million and a funding rate of +0.0004%. Bitget came in third with a score of 91.2, supporting 252 contracts, with open interest of about $757 million, 24-hour volume of roughly $2.123 billion and a funding rate of +0.0003%. RootData’s data also showed that this was Bybit’s first time entering the top two. Even so, its open interest remained the smallest among the top three exchanges, trailing Binance and Bitget by a wide margin.

RootData’s figures showed that Bybit entered the top two for the first time in this ranking. Its open interest, however, was still the lowest among the top three exchanges, leaving a sizeable gap versus Binance and Bitget.
