Citrini analyst jukan said in a post on X that Bank of America expects Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix to announce detailed shareholder return plans. For Samsung Electronics, BofA expects the company to return 50% of free cash flow to shareholders. The plan is expected to include a special dividend of more than KRW 30 trillion in the third or fourth quarter, a share buyback of more than KRW 40 trillion in the first half of 2027, and a year-end dividend of KRW 30 trillion to be paid in April 2027. BofA also expects Samsung Electronics to carry out an additional buyback of more than KRW 30 trillion for employee compensation. For SK Hynix, BofA is also said to expect a 50% free cash flow payout to shareholders, with buybacks accounting for a larger share than cash dividends. The projected scale is more than KRW 40 trillion in buybacks and more than KRW 20 trillion in cash dividends.
