Samsung Electronics is expanding its cooperation with Nvidia in NAND flash, adding to an existing relationship that already covers DRAM, high-bandwidth memory, or HBM, and foundry services. According to the report cited by Odaily, Samsung has started mass production of its 10th-generation V-NAND, known as V10, and is supplying the product to Nvidia. At the same time, the company is increasing output of its 9th-generation V-NAND, or V9, while also pushing ahead with development of its 11th-generation V-NAND, described as a 500-layer class product. Samsung is also said to have monthly V-NAND production capacity of more than 100,000 wafers. About 60% of that capacity is allocated to V9 products. The update points to a broader expansion in memory chip supply between the two companies.
