Samsung Electronics America said Samsung Wallet will roll out a stablecoin wallet feature in the last week of October for eligible Galaxy users in the United States, with USDC as the initial supported asset and Sui serving as the blockchain infrastructure partner. The company said the feature will reach 82 million Galaxy devices in the U.S. first before expanding to other markets.
At launch, USDC will be the only supported asset, while the SUI token will not be available. Samsung said Sui’s gas-free stablecoin transfer design allows USDC transfers on Sui with zero network fees, meaning users do not need to buy or hold SUI before making a transaction.
Woncheol Chai, head of the digital wallet team in Samsung Electronics’ Mobile Experience business, said bringing USDC transfers into Samsung Wallet will let eligible Galaxy users use the feature without installing another app or managing private keys on their own. Native USDC went live on Sui in 2024 and later integrated Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol. Since August 2025, Sui has processed more than $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume and has continued adding payment infrastructure and stablecoin integrations across Africa, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America.
