The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has updated its innovation exemption list to show that OKXICE TSV submitted a written notice on Oct. 4 and plans to operate under the SEC’s temporary exemptive framework for tokenized securities trading venues. At that point, the list included three entities seeking to rely on the exemption: TSV LLC, OKXICE TSV, and Kephas Corporation, identified as Perpetualscom. The disclosure follows an SEC exemptive order issued on Sept. 17, which requires covered trading venues to post an operating notice on their websites at least 30 calendar days in advance and to submit written notice to the regulator. The SEC also said that appearing on the list does not mean an entity has met the exemption’s conditions, nor does it indicate regulatory recognition or approval.

An updated innovation exemption list on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission website shows that OKXICE TSV submitted a written notice on Oct. 4 and intends to operate under the SEC’s temporary exemptive framework for tokenized securities trading venues.

As of that update, the list included three entities seeking to use the exemption: TSV LLC, OKXICE TSV, and Kephas Corporation (Perpetualscom).

Notice requirements set out in the SEC order

Under the exemptive order the SEC issued on Sept. 17, relevant trading venues must publish an operating notice on their websites at least 30 calendar days in advance and submit written notice to the SEC.

The SEC said inclusion on the list does not mean the entities have satisfied the exemption conditions, and it does not amount to recognition or approval by the regulator.
