Securitize said it is launching a new product called Securitize Stocks, bringing 12 U.S. equities including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and Microsoft onto the Solana blockchain. The first batch also covers Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Netflix, Circle, Strategy and Palantir. Each stock token is backed 1:1 by an underlying share, according to the company.
The structure keeps applicable shareholder rights such as dividends and voting rights, but the tokens represent a beneficial interest in the securities rather than direct ownership recorded on a company’s shareholder register. Securitize added that a conversion path may become available if tokenization is adopted by issuers.
The product will initially trade on Securitize’s existing Solana platform, with liquidity provided by Jump Trading and settlement handled in USDC. The company said the offering is also expected to list on the New York Stock Exchange’s planned 24/7 digital trading venue and the upcoming OKXICE tokenized securities platform, a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE parent, and OKX. Both venues remain subject to listing and regulatory requirements.
