Securitize said on Oct. 8 that it is launching a new product called Securitize Stocks, bringing 12 U.S. equities including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla and Microsoft onto the Solana blockchain. The first batch also includes Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Netflix, Circle, Strategy and Palantir. According to the announcement, each stock token is backed 1:1 by an underlying share. The structure preserves applicable shareholder rights such as dividends and voting rights, but the token represents a securities interest rather than direct ownership recorded on a company’s shareholder register. Securitize added that a conversion path may become available if tokenization is adopted by issuers. The product will initially trade on Securitize’s existing Solana platform, with liquidity provided by Jump Trading and settlement in USDC. The company also said it expects the product to expand to the New York Stock Exchange’s planned 24/7 digital trading platform and to the upcoming OKXICE tokenized securities venue, a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange, the NYSE parent, and OKX. Both venues remain subject to listing and regulatory requirements.
