Shiba Inu is closing in on a technical level that traders have been watching closely. The token is now approaching its 26-day exponential moving average, a resistance area that has repeatedly blocked recent recovery attempts and could shape SHIB’s near-term direction.

SHIB is trading around $0.0000057 and remains locked inside a broader bearish structure built over the past several months. The chart still shows a sequence of lower highs and lower lows. There have been brief rebounds, but none lasted long enough to shift the overall trend or produce a convincing reversal.

The 26-day EMA has capped several rebound attempts

Chart analysis points to the 26-day EMA as the nearest resistance barrier. In multiple recent rallies, price moved toward nearby moving averages only to lose strength quickly after touching those zones. Selling pressure returned fast, and the recovery attempt faded. That pattern has repeated often enough to make this test especially important.

The current move into resistance also looks weak. Buying momentum remains limited, and that suggests traders are still reluctant to take aggressive positions while the market stays uncertain. Price is moving toward resistance, but the push has not looked forceful.

Longer-term trend signals are still negative

SHIB is also trading well below longer-term moving averages, and those averages continue to slope downward. That structure usually reflects an established bearish trend rather than the early stage of a durable recovery. A short move toward resistance, by itself, does not change that picture.

According to chart analysis shared through TradingView, earlier recovery attempts followed almost the same path. Price climbed briefly toward resistance, then reversed quickly once sellers stepped back in. So far, the market has not broken out of that pattern.

Tightening price range raises the stakes of the next move

Recent price action shows SHIB trading in a tightening range, which points to hesitation from both buyers and sellers. The market appears to be waiting for a cleaner breakout signal. In that setup, the next interaction with the 26-day EMA could offer the clearest read yet on whether sentiment is starting to shift.

A sustained move above that resistance could indicate the start of a gradual recovery attempt. Another rejection, though, would reinforce the view that the broader downtrend remains in place. For now, the 26-day EMA stands as the level most likely to decide SHIB’s immediate path.
