The Solana Foundation and CoinDesk have formalized a partnership to stage Solana Accelerate as a one-day, developer-focused forum within Consensus Hong Kong on February 11, 2026. Consensus Hong Kong runs from February 10–12 and positions itself as an institutional-scale gathering for digital asset markets in Asia. The Accelerate program had been promoted as part of the broader agenda, but Thursday's announcement cements its dedicated role for builders alongside investors, regulators and policymakers.
Bridging Builders and Decision-Makers
Consensus Hong Kong 2026 features regulatory roundtables, capital strategy sessions and technical deep dives. Activations such as PitchFest and the Consensus EasyA Hackathon are designed to match builders with capital, while tracks on stablecoins and tokenization reflect the industry’s shift into regulated finance. Solana Accelerate will add a focused layer for protocol-level discussions, with sessions likely covering mainnet upgrades, staking optimizations and DeFi use cases.
“We are seeing distinct yet highly complementary audiences converge in Hong Kong for Consensus 2026,” said Michael Lau, chairman of Consensus. He described the addition of Solana Accelerate as a bridge between developers and the decision-makers shaping crypto’s adoption. Ellie Platis, head of events at the Solana Foundation, noted that “Hong Kong has a long history of turning new financial frontiers into functioning markets.”
For the Solana Foundation, anchoring Accelerate inside an institutional conference underscores the network’s maturation beyond native crypto circles. The event will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, with organizers expecting more than 3,000 attendees. Specific agenda details for the Accelerate track are expected in the coming weeks.
