Solana Foundation Chief Product Officer Vibhu said in a post on X that Samsung ships 250 million devices each year with Samsung Wallet preinstalled, including 82 million in the United States alone. He said Solana is currently the most-used network for stablecoin transfers, while the number of stablecoin holders stands at 14 million. Based on that distribution footprint, Vibhu said Samsung Wallet preinstallation would immediately increase the number of wallets able to access stablecoins by 6x. The remarks frame Samsung’s device base as a large potential access channel for stablecoin use tied to the Solana network.
