Solana posted 1,635 transactions per second on July 10, the highest throughput among major blockchains in new data published by Chainspect. Internet Computer ranked second at 1,035 TPS. BNB Chain processed about 179 TPS, Aptos came in around 170 to 180 TPS, while TRON and Stellar were in the 130 to 150 TPS range. Base, Polygon, Fogo, and Keeta Testnet each stayed below 100 TPS.
Throughput gap widens across major chains
The ranking showed a clear split between the top two networks and the rest of the field. The report said Solana continues to attract both established and newer projects because it can handle large volumes of low-cost transactions, helping it keep user and developer activity elevated even during periods of market volatility. Internet Computer, developed by the DFINITY Foundation, remains a notable scalable smart contract platform, but its current throughput still trails Solana.
Exchange outflows and technical signals point in the same direction
Analysts tied the strong network activity to improving market signals. Ali Charts said Solana generated a fresh buy signal after the price moved above $78 on June 30, with the SuperTrend indicator turning bullish for the first time in weeks. On-chain data added another layer to that picture. Between June 24 and July 3, roughly 1.5 million SOL were withdrawn from exchanges, suggesting some holders chose self-custody over keeping tokens on trading platforms.
During the same period, the Solana network added 1.6 million wallet addresses. That rise was presented as another sign of increasing participation. Taken together, exchange outflows and wallet growth have kept attention on SOL as traders watch whether price action can hold its recent momentum.
$79 to $85 remains the main resistance zone
The article also pointed to a heavy supply area overhead. UTXO Realized Price Distribution data showed that about 105 million SOL previously changed hands between $79 and $85, a range that could act as a meaningful resistance zone if the market keeps pushing upward. The technical levels cited were straightforward: a break above $85 could open the way toward $100 and $127, while a drop below $74 could indicate a reversal and raise the chance of a move down to the $53 support level.
For now, the focus is narrow. Solana is leading on raw network throughput, and its price is approaching the band that may decide the next short-term move. In the data cited, $85 resistance and $74 support remain the two levels at the center of that setup.
