South Korean and Japanese equities started Tuesday in positive territory, according to Gate data cited by Odaily. South Korea’s KOSPI index opened on Aug. 4 up 77.7 points, or 1.24%, at 6,335.15. Among major names, SK Hynix rose more than 3%, while Samsung gained more than 2% at the open. In Japan, the Nikkei 225 also moved higher at the start of trading.
