SpaceX Restructures Data Center Leadership After Rapid Expansion

Elon Musk has restructured the team overseeing SpaceX's data center construction in recent weeks, replacing several managers and bringing in executives from the rocket and Starlink satellite internet units to bolster data center infrastructure, according to people familiar with the matter. The reorganization stems from civil engineering issues and ongoing reliability problems at SpaceXAI's data centers in Tennessee and Mississippi, two of the people said. During the early phase of AI infrastructure development, SpaceXAI rushed to set up these facilities, leading to some operating without backup cooling or power systems for months, which increased the risk of outages, the people added.
