U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds pulled in $1.92 billion in net inflows in the week ending Aug. 21, the strongest weekly total since October last year, according to a Techub report citing CryptoPotato. The biggest single-day move came on Wednesday, when net inflows jumped to $517 million after the U.S. Treasury announced an expansion of long-term Treasury buybacks. Spot Ether ETFs also saw heavy demand during the same period, attracting nearly $700 million in net inflows, also their highest weekly level since last October. Their cumulative net inflows rose from $11.45 billion a week earlier to $12.15 billion. The inflows came alongside a sharp move higher in crypto prices. Bitcoin climbed from below $65,000 at the start of the week to nearly $80,000 at one point, while Ether advanced from $1,900 to above $2,500 at its peak. The figures point to a week of strong institutional demand across both major crypto ETF products.
