Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) said on Oct. 8 that it plans to launch a digital asset custody service in Singapore for institutional clients and accredited-investor corporates. The proposed offering would cover selected crypto assets, stablecoins, and tokenized real-world assets, according to the announcement carried by Techub News and attributed to CoinGape. The bank said the custody business will sit within its Financing and Securities Services, or FSS, division. The launch is still subject to regulatory requirements, and the bank did not provide a go-live date. The update outlines the scope of the planned service and the target client base, but stops short of naming the specific assets that will be supported or giving a timeline for rollout.
