Strategy said in a post on X that it wants to become "the world's most valuable company," tying that goal to three elements: holding the most capitalized Bitcoin (BTC), issuing what it called the strongest credit instrument through STRC, and creating the best equity asset through MSTR.
The company laid out three core parts of the strategy. The first is its Bitcoin reserve plan, which calls for continued BTC accumulation and treats Bitcoin as a long-term capital asset. The second is the use of credit instruments, with Strategy pointing to STRC preferred shares and other financial tools as ways to broaden its sources of capital. The third is equity value, with MSTR positioned as a vehicle that gives investors Bitcoin exposure while also increasing shareholder value.
A financing cycle built around Bitcoin purchases
Strategy is currently one of the publicly listed companies holding the largest amount of Bitcoin in the world. In recent years, it has raised funds through stock issuance, convertible bonds and preferred shares, then used the proceeds to buy BTC. The company has built what it describes as a cycle of capital markets financing, larger Bitcoin holdings and higher company value.
Michael Saylor’s long-standing view on Bitcoin
Founder Michael Saylor has for years argued that Bitcoin is scarce capital for the digital age. On that basis, Strategy said it wants to keep expanding its BTC reserves and pair that effort with financial instrument innovation, with the aim of turning itself into a core platform linking traditional capital markets with the Bitcoin economy.
More than a Bitcoin-holding company
According to the market view cited in the report, Strategy is not only seeking to be a company that holds Bitcoin. It is also trying to establish a new kind of corporate capital structure built on Bitcoin as the underlying asset.
