Strive, Inc. bought 1,110 bitcoin last week, the company’s largest single-week purchase in months, taking its treasury to 21,356 BTC, according to a filing released Monday.

The disclosure was followed by a move higher in Strive’s stock. Shares of ASST traded more than 7% up on Monday.
Filing details the August purchases
An 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said Strive bought the bitcoin between Aug. 17 and Aug. 21 at an average price of about $73,409 per coin, including fees and expenses. The total outlay was close to $81.5 million.
In a post on social platform X, the company said: 「More than 1 out of every 1,000 Bitcoin that will ever exist is now owned by Strive. And we’re just getting started.」
The purchase lifted Strive’s holdings by roughly 5.5% from the 20,246 BTC it reported in mid-August. The report said the latest buy came at prices well above the low-$60,000 range the firm paid through most of the summer.
Purchase funded by share sales
Strive said it funded the bitcoin purchase with proceeds from at-the-market offerings of its ASST and SATA shares.
Cash and cash equivalents stood at $171.9 million, compared with $154.1 million reported in July.
Buying pace speeds up as bitcoin rises
Monday’s filing showed a clear shift in pace.
Strive bought 147 BTC between Aug. 3 and Aug. 7 at an average price of just over $64,800. It then bought another 79 BTC the following week at $63,231. Last week’s 1,110 BTC purchase was more than five times the combined total of those two earlier rounds.
Bitcoin Magazine linked the faster buying pace to the rally in bitcoin. The cryptocurrency rose nearly 25% last week, closed Friday at $77,387, and traded near $80,000 on Monday.
ASST closed Friday at $18.22, up almost 13%, and added more than 5% in premarket trading Monday. SATA preferred shares remained near their $100 par value.
Holdings rank and company background
According to the report, Strive is now the seventh-largest public corporate holder of bitcoin. It trails Strategy, which holds 840,447 BTC, as well as Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, MARA and Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company.
The report said Strategy has stayed out of the market for close to two months while rebuilding its dollar reserve.
Strive is an asset manager that rebranded in 2025 as what it described as the first publicly traded asset-management bitcoin treasury company. In January 2026, it completed the acquisition of Semler Scientific in an all-stock deal. Bitcoin Magazine described that transaction as the first case of a publicly traded bitcoin treasury company acquiring another publicly traded bitcoin treasury company.
Chief executive Matt Cole said Sunday that he holds 「very strong conviction」 that the bitcoin bear market has ended, pointing to breakouts against both the dollar and gold.
