Following three network outages, the Sui Foundation announced that a major upgrade has resolved the bugs responsible, restoring normal operation. Sui Network, a high-performance Layer-1 blockchain based on the Move language and backed by the Sui Foundation, had experienced disruptions that drew community concern.

According to the foundation, the first two outages stemmed from vulnerabilities introduced in the 1.72 update. An interim fix deployed to restore the blockchain inadvertently triggered a third outage. This chain of events exposed gaps in the network's upgrade testing process, prompting a deeper code audit.
After a thorough review, the development team addressed all related issues in the latest upgrade. The foundation emphasized that the upgrade has been fully validated and additional safeguards have been implemented to prevent similar incidents. Sui Network is now producing blocks normally, with all functions stable. The foundation also pledged stricter oversight of future updates to enhance network reliability and ensure the safety of user assets and ecosystem applications.
