Telegram rolled out a major Bot API update on March 31, 2026, then continued shipping features through April. The headline change was “Bots Managed by Bots”, which lets one bot create and control other bots through the API. Telegram also added a built-in open-source AI text editor, allowing developers to bring language generation and text refinement into the bot interface itself.
The shift is larger than a feature update. It changes how Telegram bots can be deployed and maintained. Tasks that once required backend work, webhook setup, conversation design, and server maintenance are now moving closer to visual configuration tools, reducing the amount of engineering needed for routine bot operations.
Telegram expands the base layer for bot operations
The update introduced three main capabilities. First, the AI text editor gives bot developers a native way to integrate open-source AI models without depending entirely on external APIs. Second, Bots Managed by Bots allows a project to run a master bot that can generate, configure, and monitor multiple child bots across different groups, channels, or use cases. Third, Telegram added engagement features such as Mighty Polls and Live Photos to strengthen community interaction tools.
These are official Telegram upgrades at the Bot API layer. They are not, by themselves, no-code products. The no-code experience comes from third-party platforms that sit on top of Telegram’s infrastructure and package those capabilities for non-technical teams.

Crypto projects already rely heavily on Telegram bots
Telegram has long held a special place in crypto. That has made Telegram bots a core operating tool for many crypto-native teams.

Bot token exposure can hand over the entire community channel
The convenience comes with a sharp security trade-off. A Telegram bot token is effectively a high-privilege key. Anyone holding it can control the bot, read group messages, publish content, and manage member permissions. Handing that token to a third-party no-code platform means outsourcing more than setup. It means giving away a layer of community control.
If a platform is hacked, suffers a data leak, or acts maliciously, attackers could use the bot identity to push phishing links, fake project announcements, or purge member lists.
