According to TechFlow, on June 10, Tether announced that it is leading the Series C financing round for humanoid robotics company NEURA Robotics. The round may reach up to $1.4 billion, making it one of the largest private financing rounds in the robotics and “physical AI” sectors.
NEURA Robotics spans multiple robot categories
NEURA Robotics is described as a multi-form cognitive robotics company. Its product coverage includes humanoid robots, robotic arms, autonomous mobile robots and service robots. The company has also built an enterprise-level customer pipeline and a global network of industrial partners.
Some strategic partners are also participating as co-investors in this round. The financing therefore brings together both capital and industry participants around NEURA Robotics’ existing robotics product portfolio and partner network.
Tether plans to deploy WDK and QVAC
Tether said its participation will not be limited to financial backing. The company also plans to deploy core technologies into the NEURA ecosystem, including its open-source Wallet Development Kit, or WDK, and its edge AI runtime, QVAC.
According to Tether, WDK will enable robots to embed self-custodial wallet functionality. With that capability, machines will be able to receive micropayments directly after completing tasks, execute transactions, and automate economic behavior under predefined rules.
Tether described this design as a “machine payment layer.” In the context of NEURA Robotics’ humanoid robots, robotic arms, autonomous mobile robots and service robots, the announced financing links Tether’s capital support and technical deployment with robotics, physical AI infrastructure and machine-economy use cases.
