Danucha Pichayanan, secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Council, said at a press conference on Friday that the suspension is necessary because the government is drafting new supervisory rules for existing data centers and those about to begin operations. Danucha said the committee is expected to publish the new rules and regulations for data center operators within a month.
