BitMine Chairman Tom Lee said at the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore that the crypto market has already entered what he called a "full bull market." If he had to identify a starting point for the current upcycle, Lee said he would place it in August this year. Looking at the market through the lens of the four-year cycle, he said the bottom has already formed and argued that this cycle could become "the biggest crypto bull market in history." Lee also outlined four new forces he believes are shaping the current run: institution-led tokenization of assets, an intergenerational wealth transfer over the next decade, continued absorption of crypto supply by digital asset treasury companies, and the growth of AI-Crypto use cases such as AI Agent payments. He added that the migration of traditional financial assets on-chain could become an important source of incremental capital, while AI Agents are more likely in the future to use crypto wallets for payments and settlement.

Four new drivers identified by Lee
Compared with previous cycles, Lee said the current bull run has four new drivers:
- institution-led asset tokenization;
- intergenerational wealth transfer over the next decade;
- continued absorption of crypto asset supply by digital asset treasury companies, or DATs;
- the development of AI-Crypto convergence use cases, including AI Agent payments.
He said the migration of traditional financial assets on-chain could become an important source of new capital inflows. He also said AI Agents are more likely in the future to use crypto wallets for payments and settlement.
