TRON DAO has integrated Hyperlane, a permissionless cross-chain messaging protocol, connecting TRON to over 150 blockchains and enabling cross-chain asset, data, and instruction transfers.

TRON DAO announced on April 8 that the TRON network has been integrated into Hyperlane, a leading permissionless cross-chain messaging protocol. The integration expands TRON's interoperability to more than 150 blockchains, enabling developers to build and scale applications across multiple networks.

From Token Transfers to General Messaging

Unlike conventional bridges limited to token transfers, Hyperlane allows smart contracts to send assets, data, and instructions across chains. This opens up fully composable decentralized applications (dApps) that operate seamlessly across ecosystems. Because Hyperlane is fully permissionless, developers can deploy connections between TRON and any supported chain without centralized approval. Hyperlane Warp Routes enable token transfers between TRON and other networks.

New Use Cases and Modular Security on TRON

The integration introduces cross-chain stablecoin transfers, interchain deposits, multichain governance, native asset issuance across chains, and fully composable dApps. Developers get access to Interchain Security Modules (ISMs), allowing them to define how cross-chain messages are verified—choosing their own validator sets and security thresholds. Hyperlane supports EVM-compatible environments, Solana, and Cosmos-based ecosystems, making it easier to connect TRON to diverse blockchain architectures.

Industry Perspective: Unlocking Stablecoin Liquidity

Jon Kol, co-founder of Hyperlane, said: “TRON settles more stablecoin volume than almost any chain, but most liquidity has stayed on one network. We're excited to change that with Hyperlane. Developers can now tap into TRON's stablecoin depth directly. TRON has real potential as an interchain stablecoin hub.” Justin Sun, founder of TRON, added: “Interoperability is critical. By integrating with Hyperlane, TRON is advancing a more connected ecosystem where developers can build across chains and users benefit from unified dApps.”

On-Chain Snapshot

As of April 2026, the TRON blockchain has recorded over 372 million total user accounts, more than 13 billion total transactions, and over $25 billion in total value locked (TVL). TRON hosts the largest supply of USDT stablecoin—exceeding $86 billion. Hyperlane has facilitated over $10 billion in cross-chain value since its launch in 2022.
