Reown SDK now supports TRON, allowing devs to connect wallets, authenticate users, and transfer assets across TRON and EVM chains with a single toolkit. TRON's 369M+ user base is now reachable, lowering barriers for multichain dApp builds.

The Reown SDK has officially integrated the TRON blockchain, handing developers a unified toolkit for wallet connections, user authentication, and asset routing across both TRON and EVM-compatible chains. The update eliminates the need for custom wallet adapters or chain-specific infrastructure from the start of a project.

Toolkit Targets Core TRON Use Cases

The new package includes wallet authentication natively for TRON, alongside social and email login options. Built-in capabilities for TRX and TRC-20 token transfers between users are also included. Teams additionally get access to on-platform swaps, fiat on-off ramps, and analytics dashboards—removing the need to stitch together third-party services when building dApps on the TRON stack.

The SDK supports both current and legacy TRON transaction models, improving wallet compatibility for older and newer protocols. Developers can test their applications on the Shasta and Nile testnets. For financial applications with cross-border or regulated exposure, the SDK includes tools to support Travel Rule compliance.

369M+ User Base Opens Up

TRON currently holds over 369 million user accounts globally, serving as a major hub for stablecoin flows, digital payments, and DeFi platforms. Plugging TRON into Reown SDK means any project using the toolkit can directly tap into that audience. Launched in 2022, the open-source Reown SDK has been adopted by platforms such as Morpho, Ethena, Marinade Finance, and Coinbase.

WalletConnect CEO Jess Houlgrave highlighted the philosophy behind the multichain approach: “Developers shouldn’t have to choose between ecosystems or build bespoke infrastructure for every chain they want to support.” She noted that the integration lets teams reach TRON’s user base while using workflows already familiar from building on EVM networks, cutting both technical hurdles and resource demands.

TRON founder Justin Sun commented: “TRON was built to give developers the performance and scale needed to power the next generation of onchain applications.” He emphasized that the integration lowers barriers for multichain builds, paving the way for new projects and strengthening the position of both TRON and Reown in the global blockchain landscape.
