According to Zhitong Caijing, media analysis of Trump’s August financial disclosure found that the 517 reported buy and sell transactions totaled roughly $74.3 million to $273.3 million. The same analysis estimated at least $44.2 million in purchases and at least $30.1 million in sales.

Trading pace slowed from June and July

The 18-page filing shows Trump’s portfolio remained actively traded in August, though the frequency fell from June and July. In each of those two months, his disclosed transaction count exceeded 1,000.

Largest trade came on Aug. 21

The biggest single transaction in August took place on Aug. 21, when Trump bought Meta shares valued between $5 million and $25 million. The filing shows he also made broad portfolio adjustments that day.

On the same date, he bought shares of AT&T, ConocoPhillips, Abbott Laboratories, Netflix and Chevron, with each purchase falling in a range of $1 million to $5 million.

Sales included chip, consumer and tech names

On the selling side, Trump sold shares of Advanced Micro Devices and Church & Dwight on Aug. 21, with each sale valued between $1 million and $5 million.

He also reduced holdings in Boeing, Home Depot, T-Mobile, Datadog, Dell Technologies, Palo Alto Networks and NVIDIA, with each reduction ranging from $500,010 to $1 million.

SpaceX debt product also appeared in the filing

The filing also showed that Trump invested up to $5 million in a SpaceX debt product two days before signing a broad policy intended to expand U.S. commercial space transportation.
