Trump Media (TMTG) said Thursday it will roll out a paid Truth API designed for institutional clients, offering the fastest real-time access to posts from the most market-moving accounts on Truth Social, including U.S. President Donald Trump. The company said the service is aimed at high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms and is scheduled to open to institutional users on Aug. 1.
Interim CEO Kevin McGurn said markets are already moving on Truth Social posts and described the product as a direct, authorized, real-time machine-readable data feed. He also tied the launch to Trump Media’s broader strategy of monetizing proprietary assets through high-margin recurring revenue streams.
McGurn added that some firms had previously tried to scrape Truth Social data in violation of the platform’s rules, and said the company would create “a lot of friction” for anyone not obtaining the data directly from Trump Media. Other major accounts on Truth Social include Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and FBI Director Kash Patel.
