Truth Social, the social media platform tied to Donald Trump, is selling high-speed access to posts from key accounts to financial services firms through its newly launched Truth API, according to an official announcement and reports from The New York Times and other outlets cited by BlockBeats.
The API went live on Aug. 1. The company said it has signed more than 10 customer agreements and has already begun contributing revenue. It has not publicly disclosed how much of a time advantage the feed provides over what ordinary users see. TMTG said posts are delivered at the millisecond level, while Reuters described the service as significantly faster than standard push notifications.
For high-frequency and algorithmic trading firms, even a gap measured in seconds can create an edge. A Truth Social representative said the Truth API is priced at about $60,000 to $100,000 per month. Based on a little over 10 clients, the business could generate about $8 million to $13 million in annualized revenue.
That compares with Trump Media’s total second-quarter revenue of just $1.7 million. If renewals remain steady, the data product could become an important new source of revenue for the company.
The pitch is speed
The core selling point is fast delivery. For trading firms, posts published by Trump on Truth Social can affect individual stocks, sectors and policy expectations. Getting those posts faster may translate into a trading advantage.
Traffic pressure on the platform puts focus on data licensing
Truth Social’s own traffic is under pressure. The Financial Times, citing Similarweb data, said the platform’s mobile daily active users fell from about 436,000 in July 2025 to about 261,000 in July 2026.
That decline may limit advertising growth, while API revenue depends on a small group of high-paying institutional customers and follows a model closer to financial data licensing. Trump Media has not separately disclosed actual revenue from Truth API. The next question for the market is whether the business can keep expanding its client base and show a verifiable contribution in future earnings reports.
