Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) raised its capital spending outlook and said spending over the next three years will be substantially higher than in the previous three-year period. The company now expects full-year capital expenditure of $60 billion to $64 billion, up from its earlier guidance of $52 billion to $56 billion, and also plans to add $100 billion of investment in Arizona. In crypto-linked trading, a TSM-related contract on Hyperliquid moved sharply lower after an intraday rise. Market data cited earlier by BlockBeats showed the contract gave back gains and at one point fell more than 4%, before trading down 3.6%. TSMC also released its results for the second quarter of 2026. Net profit rose 77% year over year to NT$706.6 billion, a record high that topped market expectations. Second-quarter revenue increased 36% from a year earlier to NT$1.27 trillion, while revenue from the company’s high-performance computing, or HPC, segment rose 20% from the prior quarter.
