Macro data and corporate earnings are set to arrive in quick succession next week, with Friday’s U.S. July nonfarm payrolls report at the center of market attention, according to BlockBeats.
The report will be the first full employment reading since the Federal Reserve kept rates unchanged in July. BlockBeats said the release could directly affect how markets price the interest-rate path for September.
SpaceX earnings and lockup expiration in focus
SpaceX is scheduled to post its first earnings report since going public. Two days after that release, the company is set to face what BlockBeats described as the biggest single-stock lockup expiration ever seen in the U.S. stock market, involving about 911.5 million shares.
The potential value of those shares is close to $100 billion, making the event a closely watched liquidity test.
AI and storage names also report
AMD, SanDisk and Western Digital, all closely tied to AI and storage demand, are also due to report results in the coming week. Their earnings are expected to serve as a key read on demand trends for AI chips and storage products.
Two industry events will also run during the same period. Ai4 2026, described as North America’s largest AI industry summit, will take place from Aug. 4 to Aug. 6. The MS 2026 Flash Memory Summit, a flagship event for the global storage industry, will be held at the same time. Samsung and SK Hynix are set to present technology roadmaps for HBM4E and V-NAND.
