U.S. semiconductor and storage names moved lower during intraday trading on Sept. 1, according to market data from BIT (bit.com). The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell more than 3%, while several major chip and storage-related stocks posted losses across the session. Intel led the declines among the listed names, down 3.88%, followed by AMD at 3.48% and Nvidia at 3.25%. In storage, Micron Technology slipped 2.53%, Sandisk fell 2.26%, Seagate Technology lost 3.06%, and Western Digital dropped 1.94%. SK Hynix ADR also traded lower, down 2.41%. The move reflected broad weakness across the semiconductor and storage segment during U.S. market hours.
