U.S. Spot Bitcoin ETFs Post Strongest Three-Week Streak Since 2026
U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds just put up their best three-week run of consecutive inflows since 2026, pulling in a combined $3.8 billion over that stretch, based on SoSoValue data. In the week ending Sept. 5, net inflows hit $986.9 million, about 7% higher than the week before. Still, even with that recent jump, year-to-date net inflows for bitcoin ETFs are still in the red at around -$1 billion.
Friday Inflows Drop Sharply; BlackRock's IBIT Dominates
Friday was a lot slower. Net inflows came in at $174.6 million, far below Thursday's $731 million. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) did most of the heavy lifting with $117.4 million, or about 67% of the day's inflows. Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) brought in another $57.2 million. And that was it—no other spot bitcoin ETF posted any net inflows. Bitcoin briefly slipped under $79,000, then clawed back to about $79,700, and it is still up roughly 2.6% over the last seven days. As of Friday, total net assets across all U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs were about $101.3 billion, while cumulative net inflows stood at $55.6 billion.
Ethereum and XRP ETF Inflows Cool Sharply
Elsewhere, ether and XRP spot ETFs lost momentum fast. Ethereum spot ETFs pulled in $218.4 million for the week, down 74% from the previous week, while XRP spot ETFs managed only $19 million, an 83% drop. So yes, much weaker. Year-to-date cumulative inflows for ether and XRP ETFs are roughly $863 million and $515 million, respectively.
