UXLink Hacker Moves $6.4M in WBTC
According to on-chain surveillance by PeckShield, the address tied to the UXLink breach is actively exchanging 92 Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) for approximately 3,248 ETH, equivalent to roughly $6.4 million. Out of that total, 1,500 ETH has already been deposited into Tornado Cash, a decentralized mixing service frequently used to obfuscate transaction trails.
The wallet is linked to the September 22, 2025 exploitation of UXLink's multi-signature wallet, a high-profile hack that resulted in losses exceeding $44 million across multiple tokens. After lying dormant for nearly a year, the attacker has resumed laundering the stolen assets, using token swaps and a mixer to complicate forensic efforts.
Blockchain data indicates that the WBTC-to-ETH conversion was executed via decentralized exchange protocols, allowing the transaction to proceed without centralized intermediaries. This makes it harder for authorities to freeze or intercept the funds as they flow through the mixer.
