ChainCatcher reported, citing monitoring by PaiDun, that an address associated with the UXLINK attacker has made a series of on-chain asset movements. The address exchanged about 14.6 million DAI for 8,298.6 ETH, shifting a large portion of the tracked holdings from the stablecoin DAI into ETH, the native asset of the Ethereum network.

8,340 ETH sent to TornadoCash

After the swap, the attacker deposited 8,340 ETH into TornadoCash. TornadoCash is an on-chain privacy tool in the Ethereum ecosystem, and deposits into it are commonly tracked by blockchain monitoring firms. In a separate transaction, the attacker also bridged 2.64 ETH, valued at about $4,630 in the original report, from Ethereum to a BTC address.

PaiDun’s monitoring also shows that the attacker still holds 10.54 million DAI. The tracked activity therefore includes a DAI-to-ETH exchange, a large ETH deposit into TornadoCash, and a smaller ETH bridge transfer to a BTC address. ChainCatcher classified the report under whale movement.
